We are Committed to

  • Living in harmony with God, self, neighbor, and creation

  • A place where we seek to know and be known

  • Where we live as fully human through the transforming love of Christ

  • Allows us to become friends without conformity

  • Welcomes the potential to be changed by others

  • Allows space for everyone to be who they are, and where they are on their own journey

  • Welcomes me to listen to your story and me to share my story

  • Every person born is made in the image of God

  • No two people on Earth are the same

  • Therefore we embrace our differences so that we might know God more fully

  • Accepts others, learns from others, celebrates differences

Who We Are

On November 4, 2018 a handful of former Lakeview Free Methodist members joined together for the first meeting of The Gathering Place. While the location has changed over the years, the vision has not, "offering Christ's hospitality to the world."

The Gathering Place are a people who seek to Love God, Self, and Others while we live our vocation of expanding Christ's garden of Shalom. We believe that our specific call is through hospitality.

We practice the spiritual discipline of hospitality through four different gatherings. Check out our Gathering page to learn more.
